DSBA Online Event: What is EDIC – the European Digital Infrastructure Consortium?

Data Spaces Business Alliance (BDVA, FIWARE, Gaia-X and IDSA) is hosting an online session with the European Commission on the 10th of November to present how EDIC (European Digital Infrastructure Consortium) framework is supporting the implementation of the European Data Spaces.

As a part of the Path to Digital Decade policy programme, the European Commission identified areas needing investments, but which the member states struggle to fund. Such areas include European common data infrastructure and services, European digital innovation hubs, supercomputing, digital skills and many others.

Multi-Country projects aim to boost the development of strategic capabilities by pooling EU, national and private money and resources. The EDICs are meant to support this objective by filling the gap in the current EU toolbox by making it easier to combine the national public and private funding with the EU budget.
